Message from the President of the Board

Community Legal Services provides access to justice for the residents of Prince George’s County in a variety of ways. We offer free attorney representation, free legal seminars for the public, free interpretation services for Spanish speaking clients and free professional training for our volunteer attorneys.

This past year Community Legal Services partnered with the Prince George’s County Area Agency on Aging, the Legal Aid Bureau, the House of Ruth and the Family Crisis Center to develop innovative and in some instances unique ways to serve our clientele. Our staff continues to provide a strong voice for our clients and county by working closely with the organizations that set policy for the delivery of legal service. We currently have staff members on the Prince George’s County pro bono implementation committee, and we have staff who actively participate with state-wide legal service organizations such as Maryland Legal Services Corporation and the Maryland Pro Bono Resource Center.

On Behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank our staff, partners, funders, and community clients for all of their contributions to this collective effort. CLS's continued success and growth is because of your participation and support. I personally look forward to working with each one of you this year as you continue to contribute your time and talent to support the Board’s efforts to provide access to justice to the residents of Prince George’s County.
