Our Staff and Sponsors
Community Legal Services has a staff that consists of dedicated lawyers, paralegals and legal assistants. Community Legal Services serves two major functions: 1.) Helping the needs of indigent and low-income persons who have legal matters in Prince George’s County find an attorney to represent them in legal matters that include: divorce, custody, visitation, guardianship, will, special education, bankruptcy, defense of suits in tort or contract, legal problems of tenants, etc. 2.) The walk-in clinics provide brief advice and information to litigants not represent by a lawyer. We provide assistance with forms, and instructions on how the court system operates.
About Our Volunteer Lawyers
Our organization is indebted to the lawyers of Prince George's County, Maryland, who handle referred legal matters without fee or compensation, or at a greatly reduced rate. It is only through their kindness and generosity that we are able to assist hundreds of indigent and needy persons each month.
The Fellows
The Fellows of Community Legal Services of Prince George's County, Inc., provide advice and support for Community Legal Services. Membership in the Fellows is a professional and community honor. It recognizes outstanding dedication to the law, justice, and public service, and includes non-lawyers as well as lawyers. Nominations for this distinction are always welcome.
